2nd SRC – Swiss Racing Cup / MRTM Lostallo
Last Saturday, after leading the semifinals, I had a technical defect. Happily today, I turned things around and won the second run of the Swiss Racing Cup! The car works very good while whole the weekend!

Full podium for NT1
1st Race SRC – Swiss Racing Cup MRTM Lostallo
The race took place in Lostallo, canton of Tessin in Switzerland. The NT1 was very calm to drive on the track and it was easy to control the car so I could drive very fast . I made the best round and won the qualification. Patrick Fankhauser, also an NT1 driver, finished the qualification on the 2nd place.
In the semifinal Patrick crashed with his NT1 into the box and it was impossible for him to finish the race.
I was qualificated for the final which was very difficult to drive because after 8 minutes came the rain and after one or two minutes it stopped raining. 5 minutes before the end of the race the track was dry again. Despite this weather conditions I won the SRC race R1.

XRAY XB2 and XB4 WINNER at the Swiss Nationals RD2
The second Round of the Swiss Championship was held on the Indoortrack of HVBRS in Islikon.
Nico and Florian Schmid started in the 4WD Buggy and in the 2WD Buggy Class. Nico could in the 4WD class poleposition against his Brother Florian and Patrick Hofer in third. In the 2WD Class was Nico on the second Place behind Fabian Widmer and Florian Schmid on third.
In the A – Mains 2WD Nico could win the first two Rouns and win the Race.
Florian made too many mistakes and could not defend his starting position for him it was the 6th Place at the end.
In the A – Mains 4WD, Nico made a mistake in the first run and Patrick Hofer took advantage of this to win the Race. In the second and third Round Nico but with start – goal victory and won also this Class. Florian made again too many mistakes and reached the 7th place.
Nico Schmid wins both Classes and Florian Schmid is in both Classes the best Junior Driver. The Cars XB2 and XB4 worked fantastic in the past Weekend.

Double for XRAY NT1 at Swiss Nationals R1
Double for XRAY NT1 at Swiss Nationals R1
The first of 6 races of this year’s Swiss Nationals was held in Sitterdorf. After some wet training runs the track dried up just in time for the first of four qualifying runs.
After a solid first, run with no errors, I placed third behind the NT1 Pilot Traugott Schär and Raphael Wicki. In that moment I knew that my car, had a good opportunity for a top finish. After all the qualifying runs, I still remained third behind the two. The first nine positions were all XRay Pilots.
After a strong semi-final Raphael was able to take the pole Position for the final.
The first three laps of the 30 minute A-Finals were somewhat unclear und confusing and were marked with accidents and incidents. Michael Schäfer who was in 7th place in the grid, used these mistakes to his advantage and fought his way up to the leading position. I caught up to him before the first fuel-stop and also was able to take Advantage after a little mistake of him. At half time Raphael Wicki caught up to me and put me under a lot of pressure. But i was able to defend my Position to the end.
The car and the engine performed perfectly this weekend. The car was fast and always easy to handle.
