TQ and Win for X4

The last Round of swiss championship 2024 took place in Aigle VD at the beautiful Track of MRCAL Circuit Sebastien Buemi, which is on the french Part of Switzerland. Its a mixed fast and tecnical Layout. Weather was nearly perfect with mild temperatures and always dry Asphalt.

Even the starter field for the last race was a little less, there were very hot Race Action in all Categories. For the 17.5s it was even the deciding race for the title.

TQ and Win
Round 5 of the Swiss Champs took place last weekend, and it was intensely competitive from the start. Since I didn’t have time to convert my car to carbon after the Euro in Belgium, I was forced to drive with aluminum, which ultimately proved to be a sound decision.
Following the timed practice, I began the qualifying from position 1 and secured q1, q2, and q3, thus earning pole position for the finals. It was an incredibly challenging race; my team colleagues applied a lot of pressure, and I had to give my all to maintain my lead. In the end, I won A1 and A2 and emerged as the winner of the day.
Congratulations to Darco Meister for the fantastic performance and the Swiss Title.

Swiss Championship Rd. 4 in Langenthal August the 10th – 11th 2024 The fourth Swiss Championship race took place on the fast track in Langenthal, with a total of 75 Drivers divided into 8 categories.
The weekend was very hot with up to 35 degrees.
On all three days we started at high temperatures.
The MRCL and TIT organized a great event with amazing speakers who supported the drivers while racing, a big thank you to the Clubs.
Team Xray was represented in several categories: Touring Car 13.5T, Touring Car 17.5T, Touring Car 21.5T, Touring Car Modified, E8 Track Modified 4s and F1.

Swiss Championship Rd. 3 in Sitterdorf July the 13th – 14th 2024
The third Swiss Championship race took place on the large and fast track in Sitterdorf St.Gallen, with a total of 67 Drivers divided into 8 categories. The weather forecast changed several times during the weekdays for the upcoming event.
On Friday, testing was possible until a heavy rainstorm hit the track in the late afternoon and flooded the complete area. Nevertheless, on Saturday morning we have been able to start the event in dry conditions with two rounds of free practice, – practice and ending the day with the first two rounds of qualifying. Continuing the event on Sunday with great sunny weather and the last two rounds of qualifying followed by the three finals for each category.
The MRCSG Sitterdorf organized a great event with amazing speakers who supported the drivers while racing, a big thank you to the club.
Team Xray was represented in several categories: Touring Car 13.5T, Touring Car 17.5T, Touring Car 21.5T, Touring Car Modified, E8 Track Modified 4s and F1

2nd Round of Swiss National – Langenthal

Luckily it was a sunny and warm race weekend at Simon Kurzbuch’s home track.
During the few practice sessions on Friday we managed to find a good setup for both the RX8 and the NT1.

On Saturday morning the track was a little different but we were still competitive. Qualifying was a bit tricky, especially for Mattia who was unable to finish two out of four qualifying sessions. Fortunately, in the last two he managed to do well and finish qualifying in fifth place.

In the 1/10, Schaer’s performance was excellent, taking pole position and Buhler in third.
On Sunday Mattia managed to get through to the final, after a semi-final where he risked ending it prematurely due to a collision with a lapped driver. In the final Mattia got off to a strong start and immediately took third place behind Haechler and Kurzbuch. Unfortunately, after a few minutes the engine started to run a bit lean in the carburetion and he lost third position. After a little over 20 minutes of racing, however, the engine suddenly died, causing the filament to drop. After that it was decided to end the race so as not to completely compromise the engine.
In the 1/10 Schaer got off to a strong start, but unfortunately ran out of fuel and dropped back a few positions. He still managed to climb up to second position. Halfway through the race, unfortunately after a small crash he broke a tyre, forcing him to change tyres a second time. This caused him to lose a lot of time and he finished the race in fourth position. A very good performance by Buhler Philipp who finished the race in second position.

Swiss Championship Rd. 1 Chiasso April 20-21, 2024 The race in Chiasso was held with a total of 81 participants in 7 different categories. The weather gods were kind to all of us and we were able to start the first race of the 2024 season with sunny weather at around 20°C. The MRC Chiasso had prepared the race track perfectly and done everything to ensure that things ran smoothly. The club in Chiasso is doing a great job, a big thank you to the club! The Xray team was in various classes, including classes: F1, Stock 17.5T Touringcar, Modified Touringcar and Stock 13.5T Touringcar

The 3rd Round of Swiss nats Are in the Books. It was held on the bumpy astrotrack in Wollerau. The Day startet rainy with some wet practice. Our Xray XB4 with the rain set-up worked well from the first run. In Q3 and Q4 the Track was getting drier and drier. The desicion which tires we will choose was difficult. In Q4 we decided to run on the yellow mini dart. The Tire was way to aggressive and it was not possible to Do a clean 5 Minute run. so we wasn’t able to catch the TQ spot. After the Quali runs we was standing on P2 (Nico) and P3 (Florian) for the triple A-mains. In the Mains the Track was completely Dry and fast. And our Xray XB4 worked amazing on this difficult track. With a win in A1 and A3 it was Florian who was able to secure the overall win. Nico enden up on P4 with little bit unlucky Mains. Big thank you to the Club EMBCM for this nice weekend.
